..and a baby makes 3!
...or a family of 4 if we include Maxx!
so i decided to start blogging again, feels like its been forever since i have sat and wrote. well whats happend since then? a homecomming PCS and baby!
abe came home 10 days before his deployment year mark.(sept'09) we knew we'd be PCSing(moving) in feb '10 so we spent time getting things together, packing, clearing...you know the military stuff you gotta get done before you leave one base and move to another, a mess. fall was in full swing in KS and we were preparing for our first white christmas! it snowed TONS. my whole life i wanted to live in a 'snowy' area, after one full winter, i am so glad to be out of there. the snow, slush, just trying to get around was a mess! mid december we found out we'd be expecting our first baby!
well the new year came and went, mom and dad flew up and helped us move back to TEXAS!
before we knew it, it was summer time. hot hot and HOT around here.
aug. 17th 2010 @ 1:03am we welcomed our sweet baby boy, Elijah Joseph, into the world. he was 6lbs 15oz and 20 inches. i was in labor for a whole 3 hours with this lil man, i consider myself lucky since when my mom had me, she had a 19hour labor.
its been 11 weeks since my lil man was born, and i can't believe how time has gone by. he's smiling, giggling, squealing, rolling to his side.. LOVES his daddy and just loves to play. i never knew i could love someone so much till God blessed us with this sweet lil guy.
the time Abe spent at home with us before he had to go back to work he found out he got promoted. Elijahs first military ceremony was his daddys promotion-i think thats pretty cool. his second was when his daddys NCO induction ceremony. we're very proud of Abe :).
i'm lucky enough to be able to be a stay at home mom, and i honestly wouldn't have it any other way. we spend most days at home, relaxing, playing, cleaning, the mommy housewife stuff. i'm so excited to celebrate the holidays with Elijah, his first Thanksgiving, Christmas. We did dress him up in a lil pumpkin outfit for Halloween, trick or treating didn't happen cause our lil pumpkin fell asleep. Maybe next year!

so as i sit here, babys asleep in his swing, the dishes are done, laundrys done, the floors could use a good cleaning but all i can think about is laying on the sofa and watching my shows...so i think thats whats gonna happen. i really hope to keep up this blog, with updates on our army life, the baby and us as a family, and of course with random ramblings...happy reading!
first kisses from mommy<3
